    Owl 2017 Scavenger Hunt

Announcing the "Umpteenth Annual FWAS Scavenger Hunt". To be held July 15th. Meet at AL'S Hamburgers on 157/Collins just N. of Green Oaks Blvd S.E. at 5:45 A.M. It will be on the right in a strip plaza, that's many stores in a row... This will be a Bragging Rights only competition ( no entry fee) so bring your team and your 'bird face' and we will have a chirp, cheep and a chip of a good time! Contact moi, Paula Channell, at 817.405.8132 with a text saying you are participating or with any questions you may have. No participation limit. Members and non-members of FWAS are welcome! Look on the website under Area Hot Spots for places to go to plan your route if you need suggestions. A list of the birds you need to get , and others, with their point values is hidden SOMEWHERE and I will get it a.s.a.p. for you! It's decently cool from 6 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. so don't let the temp keep you away! The rules are simple: We all start from AL'S at 6 and stop at noon wherever you happen to be. Two team members must hear or see the bird. Meet back at AL'S in the backroom for lunch and we will tally the lists. If you see a rarity, please note where so others can go see it if it's still there later. Most important- have a good time, drive safely!
