    Default Unidentified Hawk/Owl?

Here's the unidentified bird from the slide show at the last meeting. The photo was taken at Port Aransas on Jan 30, 2017. Any help on ID would be appreciated.

That's a rather ragged looking immature Cooper's Hawk. Perhaps a recently fledged bird of the year.

Thanks for the ID. That was the title we put to the image, but with a large question mark at the end. Definitely ragged, but there was a mature Cooper's in a tree close by so that's why we guessed Cooper's.
