Hi. My name's Ted and I like to explore nature by means of walking through state parks and forests. However, I need an important tool: a good overall field guide to use for identifying birds, animals, and plants in the parks and forests near where I live (Lewisville, TX). All the ones I've found for this area only focus on one of those things. For what I seek, a general guide is better than a specific one. And so I'm looking for a guide that covers all three of those topics, that fits my budget, and that will be easy to carry around in my backpack.

To give you all an idea of what I'm looking for, I used to use the "National Audubon Society field guide for New England" back when I lived in Connecticut. I'm looking for something similar to that, but for Texas.

I'll really appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!
