One of the most frustrating birds I have ever tried to photograph ... if he hadn't stopped for a moment ... may never have been able to get a shot.

Jim, what MM lens do you use, you do a great job with your bird photography.

Thanks for the comments .... I am using a Sigma 150-500mm OS lens now ...add that to the camera and it is one heavy piece of equipment. Works better from a blind or the car .... where you can support it.

I know how you feel Jim...I've been chasing one of those rascals around for a couple of days now trying to get a picture!

Keep at it ... maybe yours will FINALLY take pity on you ... like mine did for me ... and stop for a second and allow you to get the shot. If he hadn't ... doubt that I would have ever gotten the shot! :D

Jim I got some pretty good pictures of the Grassquit at Goose Island. I would love to show them off on here, but cannot figure out how to post them....any help?

To post shots on FWAS, you will need to upload your photos on a hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr. There are others, those are the 2 that I have used!

At any rate, once you have your shots uploaded & choose your photo size (it is better if you pick the size just below large), you will need to copy the URL for the photo, but DO NOT copy the "http:\\" portion of the URL. Start your post on FWAS and click on the little beige square with the mountain shape inside it. When it comes up, paste the URL to your shot. Your shot will not show up until you actualy complete and submit your post. What you will see before you complete your post & submit is the [img]http:\\yourURL[\img] or something to that effect! If you see a little box with a red X in it after you submit your post, then you need to hit EDIT and go back to check that there isn't a character in the URL that shouldn't be - like maybe an extra\ or something.

Hope this helps!
