SPECIAL SUNDAY FIELD TRIP

September 13

Another trip just added - Sunday October 4th

RSVP Early as these trips fill up fast!

More dates will be posted as they become available

Please join leader Bob Stone on a field trip to the John Bunker Sands Wetlands Center in Kaufman County.

This is where the Masked Duck was found last summer.

This will be a half-day trip and we will meet our leader at 7:00 AM in the parking lot of the church on Combine Road just off Hwy 175 in Kaufman County.

Directions to the church:

You can take I-20 or LBJ Freeway (635) to get to Highway 175 on the south east side of Dallas

From Highway 175 South take the Combine Road exit (8.0 miles south east of LBJ Freeway)

This is the first exit after you see the Kaufman County Line sign.

Turn right onto Combine Road and the church parking lot is immediately to your right.

After meeting in the church parking lot, Bob will take us to the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center.

This field trip is limited to 8 participants and all must RSVP to Bob Stone at 214-351-2940 by 6:00 PM the Sunday before the field trip.

All participants must sign a liability waiver.

PLEASE NOTE: ACCESS TO THE JOHN BUNKER SANDS WETLANDS IS WITH AN ORGANIZED FIELD TRIP ONLY. ATTEMPTING TO ACCESS THE FACILITY ON YOUR OWN IS NOT PERMITTED AND COULD RESULT IN ALL BEING PENALIZED BY THE CLOSING OF THE FACILITY TO THE PUBLIC.

Please go to www.wetlandcenter.com to learn about this wonderful Wetlands Center that is scheduled to officially open in the near future.

Have left a message for Dr. Stone regarding the field trip tomorrow. It has been raining all through the night & day here in Arlington, but Susan Thrower said that Irving didn't get much. Has anyone heard whether or not the trip will go off? I have this entire weekend off and it appears that no birding will occur! :(
