Hi all,
I spent a few hours in the "Forbidden" portion of River Legacy this morning. If you don't know, this is the trail that runs east from 157 from the parking lot that is on 157.
Highlights, for me, included:
An obvious increase in Robin numbers with about 65 birds;
At least 16 Orange-crowned Warblers, so they are definitely in in good numbers;
Four Yellow-rumped Warblers;
Twelve Golden-crowned Kinglets in 3 small flocks;
Two Spotted Towhees;
Two Nashville Warblers;
A single Broad-winged Hawk;
And, best of all for me, a Gray Catbird near milepost 4. It vocalized several times and I got poor photos.
Good birding,
Steve Glover
