Memorial Day I spotted a pair of Mississippi Kites soaring about 1/4 mile south of our home and yesterday one of them was fiying just a hundred yards or so away. Also on Memorial Day there was a Red Headed Woodpecker in our pine tree, I had forgotten just how stunning they can be.
