Hi guys! I've never really been interested in birdwatching, anything like that, but I was out in my front yard earlier, and noticed that there was a kind of bird that I don't remember having really seen around here before (I'm sure I'm just not attentive much) nesting in my tree, and was hoping that maybe someone could point me out what kind of bird it might be? She's a real cute little thing, with a skinny body, and a pale/dusty yellow color on her body, and gray sort of wings (I will try and get a picture once I have a camera available to me). She had a somewhat long bill, very narrow, probably about an inch/inch and a half, and solid eyes (brown, maybe black?). Her overall size was probably about five inches from tip to tail, tops six, and seemed to be extremely docile -- Didn't fly off when I was standing right beneath her nest! I'm assuming it's a she, and that she's probably got an egg under her, but I'm not sure, and I'm pretty sure she's just a common little thing.

But, like I said, she's unique to me and was a cute little perky thing, canting her head and looking at me. Any help would be great!

I copied SPCLawrence's message to the new website so others could respond to his question.

My guess was an orchard oriole.
