Hi All -

Plans are taking shape to have a FWAS field trip to Monterey, California in September. We'll participate in the Monterery Bay Birding Festival held September 23-26. Click here (http://www.montereybaybirding.org/)for more info.

Probable cost of the trip - $1200 - $1500 per person which includes airfare, rental vehicle and gasoline, lodging, festival/field trip costs and some food.

The trip will be limited to 12 participants with FWAS Chapter Only members getting first priority. If you're interested in attending please contact me by April 1st so I can start making the arrangements.

Last september I was in Monterey for the National Wildlife Society meeting. The bird festival started a couple of days after the meeting. We took many of the same field trips that the festival took and we had a really good time and saw a lot of birds. I wish that I could have stayed there longer, it is an amazing place. Make sure that you check out the large number of sea otters in Moss Landing.
