Kathy Stringfellow sent this message to me via the forum.
--------------------------------
She spotted a juvenile white tailed kite in Arlington, on the way to Bell Helicopter, on the road through the river bottoms off Fielder,between Green Oaks Blvd and Trinity. It was sitting near the road on a tree. It still had a buff color head and shoulders which my Sibley's identified as a 1 year juvenile and it indicated it was a rare sighting.
===================
If anyone has a chance to look for it tomorrow you should swing by the area and see if you spot it.
I do know there are a lot of Mississippi Kites in the area but it could be. We have seen swallow tailed kites at the beds and I have seen White tailed kites on Winscott Plover Rd during the winter and a pair nest building in Italy Tx.
