Spent most of the weekend esspecially Sat the 16 walking around the between bouts of rain. Nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year highlights for Sat were Six Common Moorhens on the Northeast side. Had a flock of Dulin in breeding plumge in the mourning. I would have mentioned this but the flock had 30 plus birds. On Sun had a flyover of a Least Tern with a minnow in its mouth. The tern was headed east toward the forbbidden area. Part of courtship of the Least Tern is that the male offers the female a fish. Of course she usually dosent take right of the bat. A little off point. We need to keep an eye out in the area for nesting. Black Terns were present all weekend A pair of American Redstarts are actting like they want to take up residence. I have not seen the Purple Gallinule all weekend
