Continuing with the numbers of Sage Thrashers being located this fall, Mike Weese and I found at least 4 SATH along Goforth Road, just into Parker County. Goforth Road is the road that travels north from Winscott-Plover just west of the railroad crossing. 1 bird was approx. .15 miles north where the first trees appear. The remaining 3 were .5 miles north of Winscott-Plover.
Add these to the 4 I saw earlier today at the Johnson County location and I saw a total of 8 SATH in NCTX today. WOW!
Also of not was a lone Lark Bunting just east of the SATH location in Johnson County near the feedlot and pond.

Hi, went out to Goforth Road and saw lots of various sparrows in the brush piles on the east side of the road, but I was wondering if that is where the Sage Thrashers were. It started to rain so the birds were kind of taking cover so it wasn't the best time to try to find them. I would like to go out that way again if I had a better idea of where they were spotted. Also, can the public access that property on the east side with the signs and big gate?
Thanks!

I dropped by Goforth Rd (Parker Co) today to check for Sage Thrashers. I found one bird about .5 mi from start of the road near the gate for Goforth Ranch.

I found 4 more Sage Thrashers on Co Rd 1110 in Johnson Co. They were having a Western Bird Convention with 50-75 Lark Buntings! So glad Laura B was there to enjoy them too.
