Description: Bird Watch Open at Tierra Verde Golf Course in west Arlington. Tierra Verde is the first golf course in Texas and the first municipal course in the world to be certified as an Audubon Signature Sanctuary. Each year during Spring migration all the Audubon Signature Sanctuary golf courses across the country compete in the Bird Watch Open to see who has the most species of birds. For the last 4 years FWAS has helped Tierra Verde count the birds. Let's do it again this year!

Directions: From South Hwy 287 take the Eden Road exit and go west (right) then take the 2nd left onto Golf Club Dr.

Just a reminder we are still on for our bird watch tomorrow morning. It will probably rain this afternoon but it should be clear by tomorrow morning so please come out and join us. I’ve attached the flyer with directions and I will be at the course around 6:00am so feel free to call my cell phone if you would like to check course conditions before leaving home. If you have any discomfort walking for two to three hours we will have golf carts available for transport as well. I look forward to seeing all of you here tomorrow and truly appreciate the help in identifying some of the bird species I am less familiar with. There will be coffee available in the foyer in case any of you need a little jolt to get you going!
